RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

We see R&D as an important part of our service; working with crop chemical, fertiliser and seed suppliers in evaluating new products and crop varieties which significantly improve the productivity of our clients. With a diverse range of soil types and environmental conditions occurring on the Lower Eyre Peninsula, we endeavour to spread our R&D sites in order to provide accurate and useful information to benefit all clients.

Our extensive R&D program has covered many areas including variety evaluations for wheat, barley and canola; annual ryegrass management; wheat and canola agronomy; foliar disease management; nutrition; Precision Ag and integrated pest management. We also work closely with the Lower Eyre Ag Development Association (LEADA).

Our trial results are published in our annual ‘trial results booklet’, made available to all agronomy clients. Clients also receive invitations to our annual agronomy bus day and paddock walks throughout the season.
